It seems like it might be an easy question to answer, but we get it asked a lot, and we thought we’d make this video to explain a bit of the detail. The way I conceptualise what we do is really in three buckets:
- The marketing bucket
- The training bucket
- The recruiting bucket
Marketing to bring you leads
We tell people we are a healthcare digital marketing and sales agency, so people think, “Oh, marketing.”
So we do everything you would imagine a marketing agency does. We make websites, build engaging videos, emails, and share social media posts. We help people (your patients) find clinics that they’re looking for. We help clinics with issues with getting people into and through their pipeline. We help clinics identify where things in their marketing funnel are going wrong and where they’re losing money. So we do all of those things around traditional marketing.
Training to convert and close leads, and WOW your patients
For training, we help clinics convert more inquiries into more first appointments. Also, we help clinic staff convert more first appointments into more patients who are happy with the service so that they review, rate, and tell the world about it.
Recruiting to place key players to help you make it all happen
Then something that came about as a result of our training is that once we started to train clinics, they began to see their traffic and conversion rates jump. However, we found that sometimes when the movement came in, they didn’t have enough people on their team or didn’t have the right people in the group because you often put medical people hired for something different to do a sales role. There wasn’t a fit. They were uncomfortable selling. Yet the clinic, to move forward, needed somebody in that role. And so we developed another arm of our company to handle recruiting. So we know precisely how to bring in the right person who’s going to slot into a medical team and help drive those consultations and improve that customer service at the consultation and on the telephone for that first important contact.
Why do we do this work?
Our mission is to amplify authentic voices, to activate good in the world.
Missions, right? Sometimes hard to understand. So let me break that down a little bit. Amplify authentic voices. This is important to us. Amplify; that’s what marketing does. It makes things louder. It gets you out in the world. It allows you to go from being known as a practice to thriving. So amplifying is really what the marketing part is about.
Why do we carefully choose who we’ll help be a market leader?
Who do we want to amplify? We’ve been able to help many, many practices go from doing very, very few procedures a month to becoming multi-million dollar, pound/euro/dollar businesses in the world. So we feel that we have a responsibility to choose who we are going to, if you want to call it, make in a market; or, who we want to make the leader in a market. So to us, it’s about authenticity. If we’re going to amplify someone’s message, we need to choose that person well and feel that we have a partnership and that they will be able to provide high value for their patients. And so doing that is what we call activating good in the world.
Why do we choose to market refractive surgery?
Activating good in the world is all about working with people who create a lot of happiness, wellness, and transformation that people value. Twenty years ago, when we were first starting, we could have chosen many different things to focus on, right? We could have chosen to help various businesses make more money on perhaps, sell more widgets. There were all sorts of things that we could have done.
But we realised very early on that this thing called refractive surgery was extraordinary. And I would say we’re very much refractive surgery evangelists.
I take personal pride in the fact that we’ve been able to help partners and clients of ours activate so much good in the world that every single person that’s walking out there, glasses-free, contact lens free, with changed lives, more positive experiences, in part has a little bit of us to thank for it.
