FAQ: Do I need a database before I do sales training?

We work with all different sizes and types of medical practices. Some have very detailed records and run complex customer relationship management (CRM) software. Others keep only basic information and do not track leads and conversions in any great depth.

We do not require that our clients have a detailed record keeping system before they start sales training, however a database where you can add leads and track converted appointments is very helpful. Customer databases and sales records will help you to keep track of your marketing records and ensure your sales process is efficient.

Why is a database helpful?

A customer database will help you to retain existing customers, measure sales performance, identify trends and help to automate your marketing efforts. Some companies worry that they will need to invest in expensive CRM software in order to build and maintain a database, but this is not necessary for many businesses and in most cases, a simple database is sufficient.

 

Our form-to-spreadsheet solution

For companies who do not have an efficient record taking process already in place, we offer a form-to-spreadsheet solution that enables you to enter your leads as they call. This database includes all of the best practice guidelines we teach and provides a guide for your call handling team for a typical call.

On submitting this form, a spreadsheet can be automatically populated and this is then made accessible for editing.

The information collected in this spreadsheet can then be used to:

  • Count leads
  • Evaluate sales process adherence
  • Count conversions
  • Follow up with leads
  • Extract useful marketing data.

If you already have a database that you are currently using, we can provide you with the required fields that you can use to adapt your database to the new sales process.

Efficient and relevant record-keeping is vital to the success of any company’s sales and marketing efforts and the data that you collect in taking and making calls can be invaluable or growing your business.
